The 30-inch Bed System

    The majority of the bed preparation products in Four Season Tools' offerings are configured for a 30-inch bed. Thirty-inch beds have proven to be the most efficient bed size, allowing for logical plant spacing and easy access for weeding and cultivating. Additionally, low tunnels bent to a 6-foot diameter arc fit perfectly over two beds with a center walking path, allowing for easy covering of beds in the high tunnel or field. 

    Several tools feature 15- or 30-inch widths, meaning a single or double pass is all that is required to manage an entire bed. The tilther can be used in two passes to break up crusted topsoil or incorporate amendments. The bed preparation rake has a 30-inch width and 1.5-inch tine spacing, which means it can be used to level beds, as well as designate planting rows using row markers. The six-row seeder allows quick and efficient seeding of up to 12 rows per 30-inch bed with only two passes.
