Our Tools

    Four Season Tools offers products that are designed specifically for use with small-scale agriculture. While we sell individual tools, our goal is to provide a system of tools that work in conjunction with one another to maximize efficiency and productivity. Our system stems from the use of 30-inch beds that are easily cultivated and sensible for planting. We provide tools for bed preparation, seeding and transplanting, weed control, irrigation, and season extension.

How The System Works

    The line of tools and products we offer are designed to be used together. Each serves a distinct purpose for the small-scale farmer. We provide all the necessary products to get you from fertile prepared soils to harvest and back again. For example, the tilther is used to work in amendments and prepare the immediate topsoil after the broadfork is used to loosen deep soils. The bed preparation rake serves to prepare 30-inch wide beds, while the row markers fitted to the rake's tines mark out the positions for transplanting. Alternately, the 15-inch width of the seeders require only one pass per side to seed an entire bed. A low tunnel bender is then used to create low tunnels that are designed for use with our high tunnels to maximize protection of crops in the early and late season. All the while, weeds are controlled with several standing or hand weeding tools. These are just a few examples of the many ways these tools work together to create an efficient, cost-effective system for small-scale agriculture.
